Menlo and Priory played to a 1-1 tie in West Bay Athletic League play Friday with two matches and a chance to win the title.
The Knights (8-1-1 in league play) are two points behind Sacred Heart Prep (9-2), which defeated Harker 4-1, knocking the Eagles (8-2) out of first place.
SHP has one match remaining, at The King’s Academy on Wednesday. Menlo and Harker each have two matches remaining.
Sophomore Andre Gonzalez Lombera gave Menlo a 1-0 edge, scoring on a pass from senior Daniel Louie, who was on the receiving end of a pass from junior Aidan Skinner.
Priory scored the equalizer with a minute left after a scramble off a long throw.
Menlo plays Crystal Springs on Monday and Harker on Tuesday to wrap up the regular season.
