Recap: Former Stanford All-American Drew Holland recorded 14 saves on a .636 save percentage to help the U.S. reach Thursday’s title match of the FINA World League Super Final. The Americans outscored Italy 4-1 in the second half, with Max Irving’s goal at 5:25 of the third quarter giving the U.S. an 8-7 edge. Italy was within 9-8 with 6:30 remaining to play but Holland made five saves the rest of the way and Marko Vavic scored with 3:08 remaining for the two-goal winning margin.
