The Gunn Titans took on the Mountain View Spartans at home on Saturday night. The game went into double overtime, with Mountain View coming out ahead 6-5. Mountain View scored first, and Gunn followed with Irene Kim passing to Kate Williams who scored first for Gunn. Chloe Li and Irene Kim added to the scoring during the first half, ending with Mountain View up 4-3. During the second half, Gunn scored two more with 8M shots from Irene Kim and Tess Flinchbaugh. Gunn’s defense including Ava Boccio, Jenny Mousseau, Stella Maning, Lotem Efrat, Tess Flinchbaugh, Irene Kim and Chloe Li and goalie Brindha Jaeger kept Mountain View to one goal during the second half. Tess Flinchbaugh had the tying goal that took the score to 5-5 as time ran out in regulation, with 20 seconds left on the clock. They went into double overtime, with the final score 6-5. Goalie Brindha Jaeger had 4 saves, Irene Kim had 2 goals and 1 assist, and Kate Williams, Chloe Li and Tess Flinchbaugh each added a goal. Flinchbaugh had 4 draw controls, and Shreeya Sethuraman had 3 ground balls. The Titans travel to Saratoga on Monday to take on the Falcons at 7pm. Photos by Sunny Jefferson
