Nicole Fasola recorded a hat trick to lead the Menlo girls' soccer team to a 4-0 victory over Crystal Springs in a West Bay Athletic League playoff match on Friday at Skyline College in San Bruno. The victory earns the Knights (13-4-5) an automatic berth into the Central Coast Section playoffs, which begin next week.

Menlo's Katie Baum also scored and Madi Shove added two assists for the Knights, who will learn of their seed at Saturday's section seeding meeting. Menlo will join WBAL champion Sacred Heart Prep and second-place Priory in the Division III tourney. Crystal Spring had won the Skyline Division of the WBAL this season while Menlo had finished third in the Foothill Division.
