A sudden rainstorm that deluged the start of the Gunn-Fremont girls' soccer match didn’t dampen the Titans ability to score goals in a 10-3 victory Wednesday in Sunnyvale. The win completes an undefeated SCVAL El Camino Division season for Gunn (10-0-2, 12-5-3 overall).

Gunn scored early and often, with five different players putting balls into the net. Taylor Gardiner led the scoring with four goals, Nikki Bahlman and Libby Burch each had two goals, while Kelly McKenna and Eleanor Greely had a goal a piece. All are seniors, who were playing in their final regular-season match.

Gunn now awaits the results of the CCS seeding meeting on Saturday to find out its first opponent in the section playoffs that begin next week.

The first goal for Gunn was Greely, I think unassisted.
