Junior catcher Rosey Neill hit a pair of home runs and drove in four as the Stanford softball team beat Texas Tech, 6-1, Saturday morning as part of the Kajikawa Classic in Tempe.
Senior pitcher Missy Penna recorded 12 strikeouts and allowed three hits, all to Red Raiders' leadoff hitter Leah Legler. Freshman Maya Burns also doubled home a run.
The ninth-ranked Cardinal (2-1) is scheduled to play Kansas later in the day. The Jayhawks (1-1) stunned No. 7 Arizona, 5-1, on Friday night.
