Note: Stanford senior Kathryn Plummer recorded four points on a kill and three blocks as a substitute in all five sets for the Americans. Minnesota grad Sarah Wilhite led the U.S. with 17 points on 13 kills, a block and three aces. The U.S. lost to Argentina, 25-17, 25-17, 20-25, 18-25, 15-10, on Wednesday. The Americans play Brazil on Friday with a berth in the semifinals at stake.
