Note: The U.S. advances into the semifinals and meet host China on Saturday morning. Brazil and Turkey meet in the other semifinal. The gold medal match will be played Sunday. Brazil and Turkey were two of the three teams which defeated the U.S. during the regular season . . . The U.S. has won seven straight since losing back-to-back matches in June . . . Cincinnati senior Jordan Thompson led all scorers with 33 points on 30 kills, a block and two aces. "She is amazing," U.S. captain Jordan Larson told USA Volleyball. "I think a lot people don't know she is still in college; she still has one more year left. We have been blessed to have her and to get to know her. She is a great human, and obviously a great volleyball player."
