The Palo Alto boys' water polo team remained atop the SCVAL De Anza Division standings with a 12-8 triumph over visiting Mountain View on Tuesday. Senior Michael Fortune and junior Tim Wenzlau each scored four goals for the Vikings, who led by 4-0 after one quarter and by 7-1 midway through the second. Paly, however, got complacent and the Eagles scored four unanswered goals to get to within 8-6. Fortune and Wenzlau each scored late in the third quarter for a 10-6 bulge. Senior goalie Will Simon had 14 saves for Paly (4-0, 12-4).
