The Stanford men's volleyball team produced a 30-25, 30-24, 30-18 victory over BYU in the first round of the UC Santa Barbara Invitational on Friday and will meet Long Beach State in Friday night's 7 p.m. second round. The Cougars were 25-5 last season and are perennial national title contenders. The Cardinal is coming off its best season in several years and is looking to continue its rise.
