Golden State Athletic Conference
Thursday
at No. 16 Menlo 8, San Diego Christian 2
Oaks junior Noa Kerr played a part in the Oaks first three goals. He picked up his first assist of the day on a beautiful cross high in air that found Eric Hegmann who put his 8th goal of the season in the net. Then, Kerr found the ball at his feet again from a pass by Luis Nunez. Kerr knifed towards the goal, then used the outside of his foot to set up a Giovanny Gomes goal that would prove to be the game winner. As if two assists wasn't enough, Kerr added a goal to his name as well. The opening salvo of the second half was fired in just 5 minutes in, off the foot of Noa Kerr, as Hegmann returned the favor from his first half goal, allowing Kerr to score off of a beautiful cross.

The Hawks scored first, in the 10th minute, and the Oaks defense would not allow another shot on goal until the 86th minute, thanks to some incredible play by center backs Axel Helmertz and Alex Avila.

The Oaks finish this two-game homestand on Saturday against The Master's University. The Mustangs are 9-4 and 1-2 in the GSAC, having fallen to William Jessup earlier Thursday, 2-0. The Oaks are 1-4-1 all time vs the Mustangs. Kick-off is set for 1:30 p.m. at Wunderlich Field.
