The Palo Alto boys' soccer team remained unbeaten in the Homestead Christmas Cup Tournament following a 3-1 victory over visiting Santa Cruz on Monday. The Vikings improved to 3-0 in the tourney (5-0-1 overall).
Paly senior Michael Hanabusa staked his team to a 1-0 lead just six minutes into the match with a goal off an assist from Spencer Sims. Santa Cruz tied it at the 18-minute mark but Sims gave the Vikings a 2-1 lead at the half on an unassisted goal.
Palo Alto wrapped things up in the second half when Adam Zernik scored an unassisted goal with just 10 minutes elapsed.
