The American Volleyball Coaches Association announced the AVCA All-Region team. Menlo placed two on the team. Hannah Hudson qualified on the honorable mention list while Maggie McDonald made the team for the Southwest Region.
Hudson has been the team's primary libero. She was one of three Oaks to play in every set and served as one of the most valuable defenders. She won the conference defender of the week award twice this season and led the Oaks in digs with 475. That total was one of the best in the Golden State Athletic Conference. She finished fourth best in the GSAC in both digs and digs per set (4.2). One of the best servers on the team, Hudson finished third on the team with 46 service aces, which is also the third best mark in the GSAC.
McDonald had a breakout year for the Oaks in her junior season. The outside hitter from San Mateo enjoyed a monster year at the net for the Oaks, setting career-highs across the board in a variety of statistics. She played in all 30 matches for the Oaks, and led the Golden State Athletic Conference in kills with 304. Her kills per set mark of 2.8 ranked in the top-five in the GSAC and she also finished third on the Oaks with 36 total blocks, and second with 10 solo blocks. 13 times this season she finished with 10 or more kills in a match, including a career-best 25 in an October 4 match against Pacific Union.
Kenzie Carpenter and Sofia Salim were named to the Daktronics-NAIA Scholar Athlete team.
