Getting two goals from Spencer Sims and one from John Anderton, the Palo Alto boys' soccer team (3-0-1) rolled to a 3-0 victory over host St. Ignatius in a Homestead Christmas Cup pool play match on Thursday night.
Adam Zernik provided an assist on the first goal just six minutes into the match. Sims scored four minutes later and Anderton tallied his goal 10 minutes into the second half off another assist from Zernik. Sweepers Ryan Holland and Riley Smith sparked the defense.
Paly will continue tournament play Saturday against Sobrato at Yerba Buena High at 3:15 p.m.
