The Stanford men's and women's cross country teams swept the long courses for the second year in a row. The men recorded a low score of 37 in the 8,000 meter race to defeat second place California who scored a 66. The women posted a low score of 27 to defeat second place Adams State with 78. With all five point scorers finishing in the top ten, the women ran away with the top spot as they posted a score of 27 in the 6,000 meter race. Senior Arianna Lambie picked up where she left off last season, taking the individual title in a time of 19:48 as she was the only runner in the race to break 20 minutes. Junior Alicia Follmar was the next runner to come in for Stanford with a fourth place finish in 20:52, while senior Lauren Centrowitz followed closely behind in sixth with a 20:55. The youngest Cardinal in the race, sophomore Kate Neihaus, posted a seventh place finish with a time of 20:59, while the final point scorer was junior Katie Harrington who earned a ninth place finish in 21:08.
