Stanford senior Kylie Sorenson earned the first National Fastpitch Coaches Association All-West Region honor of her career, as announced by the organization Thursday.
Sorenson was selected to the third team at shortstop as her postseason honors continue after being named to the All-Pac-12 second team and Pac-12 All-Defensive team earlier this week.
A four-time All-Pac-12 selection, Sorenson led the Cardinal in batting for the third time in four years with a career-high .366 batting average. She led Stanford in hits (60), RBIs (36), runs (37), slugging percentage (.537) and fewest strikeouts (9).
Sorenson had a knack for making difficult defensive plays look easy. Her combination of quality range and a strong arm stole outs for the Cardinal on a regular basis.
