Palo Alto senior Charlie Avis ran his best race of the season, winning individual honors and helping the Vikings win the team title at the Palo Alto City Cross-Country Championships on Tuesday. Avis ran 10:42, the No. 3 all-time mark on the course to help Paly total 26 points for the team victory. Gunn junior Paul Summers was second in 10:45, the No. 5 time ever.
