Stanford incoming freshman Katie Ledecky set an Olympic record in Sunday morning's preliminaries of the 400 free in Rio.
Ledecky went 3:58.71, just off her own world record. She was the only woman under four minutes.
"My last stroke was a little lackadaisical," she said. "I shouldn't have done that. I'll be fine."

Video FINA: Katie Ledecky made her Olympic debut in 2012, at age 15. Since then she has won 15 gold medals and broke 11 world records and is clearly one of the favorites in the Rio Olympic Games.
