After a come-from-behind win in the opening set, the No. 3 Stanford men's volleyball team rolled to a 32-30, 25-22, 25-17 sweep over No. 10 Pepperdine on Sunday at Firestone Fieldhouse in Malibu. The Cardinal has won a season-high eight straight matches. There were 28 tie scores and nine lead changes in the first set. The Cardinal recorded 21 kills on a .457 attack percentage, while the Waves had 19 kills on .394 hitting. Stanford has now won the opening set in all 17 matches this season.

Madison Hayden led Stanford offensively with 11 kills, hitting .391. Redshirt junior opposite Gabriel Vega added nine kills (.368), four digs and three blocks. Both middles, Conrad Kaminski and Kevin Rakestraw, tallied eight kills and five blocks for the Cardinal. Kaminski also had a match-high three aces, while Rakestraw turned in two. James Shaw had a season-high 38 assists for a three-set match.
