The Menlo-Atherton girls kept their championship hopes alive in the Central Coast Section Division I soccer playoffs with a come-from-behind 2-1 victory over visiting Piedmont Hills in a quarterfinal match Saturday in Atherton. The No. 1-seeded Bears (14-4-2) bounced back from a Piedmont Hills goal just before halftime with senior Sarah McLeoad scoring for a 1-1 halftime deadlock. McLeod provided the game-winner with a penalty kick to eliminate the No. 8-seeded Pirates (8-7-7) and advance to Wednesday's semifinals against No. 12 St. Ignatius (12-6-4), which bounced No. 4 Valley Christian. M-A and SI will meet at Valley Christian High at 3 p.m.
