Sacred Heart Prep came up with arguably its best soccer match of the season as the boys from Atherton defeated West Bay Athletic League champ King's Academy, 4-2, to wrap up the regular season. Trevor Peay scored off an assist from Connor Johnston in the first half, followed by a goal from Josh Lin, assisted by Matthew MacFarquhar. Peay tallied a third goal before intermission, with MacFarquhar getting his second assist. King's Academy got to within 3-2 before Peter Love wrapped things up with a goal assisted by Peay. Despite the impressive victory, the Gators finished 7-4-1 in league (10-7-3 overall) and in third place, just missing an automatic Central Coast Section playoff berth.
