The Palo Alto girls' tennis team is headed to the Central Coast Section playoffs, but the only question remains is in what capacity. The possibility of a league championship remains following Paly's 5-2 victory over host Lynbrook on Tuesday. The Vikings (7-1, 14-1) maintained their three-way tie with Saratoga and Monta Vista, both winners on Tuesday. Paly must play both teams on the road to help finish the regular season. Against Lynbrook, Paly played again without No. 1 singles player Janet Liu, who has been sidelined with a bad back. Fortunately, the Vikings' depth at doubles came through once again with a big sweep. Gracie Dulik and Sophie Biffar produced a 6-2, 6-3 win at No. 1, followed by Lisa Ke and Margo Gerould winning at No. 2, 6-4, 6-3. At No. 3, Emily Efland and Lauren Mah registered a 6-0, 6-3 triumph. Sisters Vrinda and Mira Khanna provided the singles victories as the two combined to lose just three games.
