The Menlo School girls remained tied for first place in the West Bay Athletic League (Foothill Division) with a 3-1 victory over visiting Castilleja on Thursday. The Knights improved to 3-0-1 in league and 5-2-4 overall while the Gators dropped to 1-2-1 and 2-6-3.
After Castilleja took a 1-0 lead at halftime on a goal by Anais Serrazin (assist Nicole Goodman). Menlo charged into the second half with a pair of goals in the first five minutes. Knights junior Cleo King collected the first goal on an assist from junior Emily Lemmon. Senior Zoe Enright took an assist from senior Sasha Cassidy for the go-ahead goal.
In the 56th minute, sophomore Hunter MacDonald put away a shot on assists from King and Enright. The Knights got strong performances from junior Eliza Crowder, Cassidy, and freshman Emily Tse.
