Will Hindle-Katel and Janson Wigo each scored twice as the Stanford men's water polo team beat UCLA, 7-4, Sunday to advance to the championship match of the SoCal Tournament at Pepperdine later in the day. The Cardinal (13-1), led by Menlo School grad Jimmie Sandman with 12 saves, held the Bruins scoreless for nearly 20 minutes, building a 5-0 lead. Menlo School grad Ben Hohl scored a goal for UCLA. Stanford will meet USC for the title. The Trojans beat Cal, 12-7, in the other semifinal at Pepperdine.
