Menlo School grad Jimmie Sandman had three of his seven saves in the final quarter as the Stanford men's water polo team defeated host Loyola Marymount in the second round of the SoCal tournament on Saturday evening. Alex Pulido, Sage Wright and Will Hindle-Katel each scored twice for the third-ranked Cardinal (12-1), which meets No. 2 UCLA in Sunday's semifinals at noon at Pepperdine. No.1 USC and No. 4 Cal meet in the other semifinal.
