Varsity Boys Soccer
Willow Glen 0, Palo Alto 0
Date of competition: Saturday, December 19, 2015
Palo Alto senior Dami Bolarinwa provided the deciding goal in penalty kicks to lift the Vikings past Willow Glen and to the soccer title at the annual Oak Grove Tournament on Saturday at Oak Grove High in San Jose. Paly won on PKs, 5-4, after the teams had battled to a scoreless tie in regulation. The Vikings (5-0-1) played without starting keeper Eli Friedlander, sidelined by injury, but junior forward Michel-Ange Siaba filled in admirably and came up with big saves in the PK shootout.
