The Menlo School boys opener their home soccer season with a 2-1 nonleague triumph over San Mateo on Friday. Menlo senior striker Will Chisholm hit each post in the first few minutes of the game before finally finding the back of the net after a good setup from senior captain Will Bleicher. San Mateo narrowed the lead with a penalty kick midway through the half, but Menlo held on for the win. enior goalie James Adler and junior midfielders Daniel Hausen and Zack Hurwitz had strong performances in the win.
