The Palo Alto boys made their debut in their new home (Gunn) pool and gave first-year coach Aaron Johnson his first SCVAL De Anza Division victory as the Vikings rolled to a 14-10 victory over Wilcox on Tuesday night. With Paly's pool closed for construction of the school's new athletics complex, the Vikings are playing their home matches at Gunn. Johnson, meanwhile, is taking over for his older brother, Brandon.

The Vikings pulled away to a 3-1 lead after one period and made it 6-2 at the half. Winston Rosati poured in nine goals to pace Paly with Kevin Bowers adding two. The Vikings (1-1, 2-1) got single goals from Justyn Cheung, Jared Stanley and Tommy Smale.
