The Palo Alto Heat 12U girls' softball team played a double-header against the San Mateo Wicked Quick. The teams were fairly well matched, and in both games the Wicked Quick had the lead in the beginning and the Heat rallied during the last 2 innings to win. Maya Padilla hit a home run in each game, and Anna Jaffe almost had a home run in the second game, but got out sliding home. All of the girls hit and fielded well, and the three pitchers each contributed to the wins. Pitchers Roya Huang and Rachel Wilson each had 2 strike-outs, and Casey Maltz had 9 strike-outs. The score for the first games was PA 10, SM 6. The score for the second game was PA 10, SM 8. The Palo Alto Heat 12U team now has 5 wins and 1 loss for the season.
