Palo Alto junior Philip MacQuitty finished third overall in the Boys' Division II race, clocking 15:54.7 over the 5,000-meter layout at the Stanford Invitational cross-country meet on Saturday at the Stanford Golf Course. MacQuitty was the No. 2 runner from Northern California and the top finisher from the Central Coast Section in the race. In all the races combined, MacQuitty ranked No. 22 and was the sixth-fastest CCS runner overall. Other Paly finishers included Josh Newby, Skyler Cummins, Peter Wilson, Henry Jordan, Colin Schmitt and Ben Sklaroff. Palo Alto finished 10th in the team race with 274 points.
