Vista of San Diego may be one of the top teams from San Diego, but the Menlo boys' water polo squad didn't let that little fact get in the way as the Knights rallied for a big 9-8 triumph in the quarterfinal of the 11th annual Scott Roche Invitational on Friday at Menlo College. Menlo rallied from a 7-5 deficit after three quarters to pull out the triumph. Seniors James Balassone (5) and Gerrard Clark (3) led the Knights while goalie Scott Platshon had eight saves for Menlo (6-2), which will take on St. Francis in the semifinals Saturday at 11 a.m.
