The Menlo boys' water polo team rolled into the quarterfinals of the 11th annual Scott Roche Invitational with an impressive 18-3 romp over Valley Christian on Friday at Menlo College. The Knights (5-2) blanked the visitors in the first quarter and had plenty of offense to put the game away early. Dave Andreson led the Knights with a season-high four goals while senior Gerrard Clark scored three goals, as did newcomer Chris Akin, to pace the Knights. Newcomers Jack Foley and Jack Finch added two goals each. Goalie Scott Platshon had nine saves for Menlo.
