Thanks to an 8-0 romp over Mercy-San Francisco and Pinewood's 1-0 upset over Crystal Springs, Castilleja improved its soccer lead over the Gryphons in the WBAL Skyline Division heading into Thursday's showdown at Cubberley Community Center. The Gators are 7-0-2 in league and Crystal Springs is 7-1-1. The winner of Thursday's match will advance to the WBAL playoffs as the Skyline champion. Should the teams tie, Castilleja will win the division crown.
