The Menlo School boys rolled to a 6-0 soccer victory over host Crystal Springs on Friday and remained solidly in second place in the West Bay Athletic League. It was the Knights' fourth straight league win and second consecutive shutout. Menlo (4-1, 6-4-1) got off to a fast start and never looked back. Senior captain Jackson Wagner opened the scoring with a devastating free kick from just outside the box. Menlo quickly doubled its lead when junior forward Will Chisholm got free in the box and clinically beat the Crystal Springs goalie.

The Knights added a third goal 10 minutes later after some good combination play sent junior winger Tyler McGraw free down the left hand side. His pin-point cross found freshman winger Dylan Williams, who cleverly flicked the ball into the back of the net with the outside of his foot. The Gryphons responded well to the early onslaught and pressured the Menlo goal, but junior keeper James Adler was up to the task.

Menlo started the second half the way it started the first, with Williams scoring a header off a cross from Wagner. Chisholm added his second of the game from the penalty spot before Wagner completed the scoring with a sublime strike off a pass from junior winger George Tamer. Junior defenders Matt Joss, Kian Seddighnezhad, Michael Quezada and Will Bleicher defended Adler's goal well to help the Knights remain a game back of first-place Sacred Heart Prep.
