The last time the Sacred Heart Prep boys and King's Academy met on the soccer field, the Knights ended the Gators' perfect season in the West Bay Athletic League race last year. The teams met again Friday in the first of two meetings and SHP came away with a 2-1 victory to remain alone in first place. The Gators (5-0, 9-1-2) grabbed a 1-0 lead in the first half when Sebi Surraco scored off an assist from Philip Petrakian. Following intermission, Josh Lin gave SHP a 2-0 lead with an unassisted goal. The Gators withstood a late goal by King's to register the victory while improving their unbeaten streak to seven straight matches.
