Gunn senior Ian Cramer captured the 145-pound division and was named the Outstanding Wrestler in the lightweights to highlight the Titans' efforts at the San Ramon Invitational on Saturday at San Ramon Valley High. Gunn sent six athletes to the 19-team event and finished 10th. Cramer led the way with three straight pins and his third tournament title this season. He was named the top wrestler among the first seven divisions for the second straight year in this tournament while remaining unbeaten this year at 14-0 with 12 pins. Cramer is ranked No. 1 in the Central Coast Section in his weight class after finishing second in the section finals last season.
California High won the San Ramon tourney title with 182.5 points with Gunn, the only CCS school entered, scoring 59. Four Titans brought home medals -- Tanner Kerrins finishing 4-1 and third at 138, Kirill Demyanenko fourth at 285 and David Abramovitch sixth at 126. Gunn (3-1) will travel to Fremont High on Thursday for the second SCVAL De Anza Division dual meet of the season.
