The Menlo School girls notched their first soccer victory of the season with a 3-1 nonleague triumph over visiting Aragon. Menlo struck first in the 17th minute when junior Zoe Enright took a perfectly placed pass from freshmen Julia Wang and blasted a 15-yard shot into the corner. In the 29th minute, Wang fed Enright perfectly again and Enright one-timed the ball from 15 yards out beautifully past the on rushing goalkeeper. In the 15th  minute of the second half, Aragon cut the lead in half off a close-range shot from Alison Tejada in the 16th minute. Menlo responded in the 24th minute when senior Alexandra Walker calmly placed her 15-yard shot inside the far post on a nice assist from senior Leah Swig. Menlo's defense was led by senior Tess Batchelder, senior Jamie Corley and sophomore Montera Espinosa.

Aragon 0 1 -- 1
Menlo School 2 1 -- 3
Aragon -- Tejada (unassisted)
Menlo -- Enright (Wang), Enright (Wang), Walker (Swig)
Records: Aragon 1-1; Menlo School 1-1-2
