Somehow, silver doesn't seem so shiny after the U.S. Olympic softball team dropped a 3-1 decision to Japan in what may be the last softball game in Olympic history. The Japanese earned their way back into the gold medal game after an extra-inning victory over Australia and took advantage, ending the Americans' dominance of the sport.
