Menlo School continued to fall on hard times, dropping a 47-13 nonleague football loss to host Half Moon Bay on Friday. Before the game, the Cougars paid tribute to longtime assistant coach Rocky Perry, who died two weeks after suffering a heart attack. Half Moon Bay got off to a quick start against short-handed Menlo, and never let up while grabbing a 26-0 halftime lead. Menlo scored when Charlie Roth rumbled up the middle for an 11-yard touchdown run in the third quarter. Sam Ferguson added a touchdown reception from Austin D’Ambra with just under a minute to go as the Knights fell to 2-2.
