Palo Alto Post 375 was eliminated from the American Legion Area 2 tournament for 19-under teams following a 15-4 loss to defending champion San Mateo on Tuesday. Palo Alto trailed by three in the sixth inning, but a three-run homer by Cody Larson gave the Orioles a 10-4 lead. San Mateo got 19 hits in the contest, in which Palo Alto actually held a 3-2 lead after a two-run single by Kyle Einfalt and a fielder's choice in the first. San Mateo will play Burlingame at 4:30 p.m., with the winner facing Redwood City in the winner-take-all championship game tonight at 7:30 p.m.
