Recent Stanford graduate Chiney Ogwumike scored 18 points, all in the second half, for the host Connecticut Sun in an 89-67 victory over the Indiana Fever in WNBA action on Tuesday night. Ogwumike is averaging 16.7 points and 8.1 rebounds for the Sun, which improved to 7-6 and moved into second place in the WNBA's Eastern Conference after beginning the month in last place. Former Stanford standout Kayla Pedersen added two points and five rebounds for the Sun in 16:47 of action . . . In other WNBA action, Stanford grad Neka Ogwumike had 13 points and eight rebounds for the Los Angeles Sparks (3-7) in a 94-77 loss to the Minnesota Lynx (9-1).
