Stanford sophomore John Criste was one of three current Cardinal swimmers to qualify for the semifinals of the 100 breast at the U.S. Olympic trials in Omaha on Sunday. Criste went 1:01.31 for the sixth swiftest qualifying mark. Brendan Hansen led the way with a 59.84. Cardinal seniors Chris Ash (1:01.78) and Nate Cass (1:02.36) qualified aath and 15th respectively. Senior Paul Zaich was disqualified, while grad Gary Marshall finished 17th, .08 behind Cass. Egan Gans was 30th in the 137 swimmer race. The semifinals are scheduled for later on Sunday.
