Arizona came from behind twice to beat visiting Stanford, 15-11, in a Pac-10 baseball contest on Monday afternoon in sweltering heat. Stanford took an 8-0 lead before the Wildcats scored nine times in the third inning. The Cardinal (12-9, 31-20) rebuilt the lead to 11-9 before Arizona wiped that away with a six-run seventh. The loss allowed Arizona State to clinch at least a tie for the Pac-10 title. Stanford needs to win its three remaining games at Washington, beginning Friday at 6:30 p.m. in Seattle, and the Sun Devils have to be swept by Arizona in Tucson for Stanford to claim a share of the conference crown. Toby Gerhart had three hits, including a home run, and drove in four runs for the Cardinal in a losing cause. Cord Phelps and Jason Castro each added three hits. Phelps hit a home run and drove in a pair of runs.
