Castilleja rolled to a 4-2 victory over visiting Pinewood in West Bay Athletic League (Foothill Division) girls' soccer action on Thursday at the Mayfield Soccer Complex. The Gators grabbed a 1-0 halftime lead over the Panthers (2-7, 3-14), who scored its goals in the 67th minute (Nicole Colonna from Elle Stephan) and again in the 77th minute (Olivia Biggs from Stephan).

"Kudos to Castilleja, who looked and played much better than in our first meeting," said Pinewood coach Michael Tetzlaff, who had only 11 players available. "Now things suddenly look mighty bleak in terms of our staying in the Foothill Division, unless Castilleja loses again against Notre Dame-San Jose, and we can beat Priory again. We'll see."
