Palo Alto stretched its winless streak to four matches following a 2-0 loss to host Fremont in SCVAL De Anza Division boys' soccer action on Wednesday in Sunnyvale. The Vikings (1-2-2, 5-5-3) could not convert more than 10 shots on goal in the first half, including three one v ones with the Fremont keeper. Several other nice shots were stopped by the Fremont keeper. Paly was pushing hard to score, but could not convert. Fremont then scored off a corner kick with just minutes left in the first half. The second half continued with Paly having several scoring opportunities. A second Fremont goal was scored on a single player counter attack taking on two defenders and hitting a deflected shot past the Paly keeper. This was a tough loss in a game that might be defined by Paly's missing out on scoring opportunities.
