Sacred Heart Prep grabbed control of the West Bay Athletic League boys' soccer race and kept its undefeated record against rival Menlo School since 2009 intact with a 3-1 victory on Wednesday. Isaac Polkinhorne gave the Gators (3-0, 4-4-1) an early lead off an assist by Philip Petrakian before Menlo's John Strong equalized things in the second half off an assist by Will Chisholm. SHP bounced by with a winning goal from Ricky Grau (assist Petrakian) and added a penalty kick in the waning moments by Will Mishra. The Gators improved their league record against the Knights to 9-0-2 while Menlo fell to 2-1 in league this season (4-3-1 overall).
