Keller Chryst threw for 271 yards and five touchdowns in only three quarters as fifth-seeded Palo Alto advanced to the semifinals of the Central Coast Section Division II football playoffs with a 54-24 romp over No. 4 Leland (7-4) on Saturday night on the Chargers' field in San Jose. The Vikings (6-5) next will face top-seeded St. Francis (8-3) on Friday (7 p.m.) on the Lancers' field. St. Francis advanced with a 41-6 win over No. 8 Andrew Hill. Paly wide receiver Keesean Johnson had eight receptions for 191 yards and scored four TDs, including one on a 55-yard punt return. Malcolm Davis scored three times while rushing 14 times for 107 yards. Justin Hull came up with two interceptions to spark the defensive effort by Paly.
