In the lowest-scoring game for both teams this season, Sacred Heart Prep wrapped up second place in the PAL Bay Division football race with a 10-3 victory over host Menlo School at Sequoia High to wrap up the regular season on Friday night. The Gators (4-1, 9-1) took advantage of the absence of Menlo quarterback Jack Heneghan, who missed the game with a reported shoulder injury suffered in last week's loss to Menlo-Atherton. The Knights (2-3, 6-4) grabbed an early 3-0 lead on a 29-yard field goal by Kevin Walker and put up a great defensive battle before finally falling. Riley Tinsley kicked a 25-yard field goal as SHP tied the game before Chris Lee scored on a seven-yard run for the winning points with 2:02 left to play. Tinsley wrapped things up with an interception in the waning moments.

Both teams will advance to the Central Coast Section Division IV playoffs next week and could meet again. Both teams reached the CCS finals last season, with Sacred Heart Prep winning in a low-scoring affair in the rain.
