The Palo Alto girls tennis team reached the quarterfinals of the Central Coast Section Team Tournament for the first time since 2008 with a dominating 7-0 victory over visiting R.L. Stevenson on Wednesday. The No. 7-seeded Vikings (18-5) have advanced this far only twice during Andy Harader's 11 years as head coach, reaching the semifinals five years ago.
