The Sacred Heart Prep boys' tennis team took another positive step toward the postseason with a 6-1 nonleague win at Palo Alto on Monday. The Gators (18-3) had one of their strongest lineups of the season and it showed as Erik Blumenkranz beat Kushal Tantry (6-4, 6-3), Jamie Hutter beat Baramee Wongbanchai (3-6, 6-1, 6-2), freshman Andrew Malozak beat Sam Wong, 6-4, 6-7(5-7), 10-6, and Billy McCall topped Andrew Chen (6-0, 6-1) to complete the sweep in singles. Palo Alto (14-8) managed its lone win at No. 2 doubles and /Drew Pearson and Peter Tseng winning, 7-6 (8-6), 6-2. Palo Alto will begin competition, along with Gunn, in the SCVAL Individual Tournament starting Tuesday at Los Altos High.
